CASE STUDY
Brixton Corporation is a large size, a multinational production company with approximately
4,250 employees. To support its high-performance culture, Brixton sought to align individual
performance to organisational priorities through a rigorous goal-setting method that was directly
tied to compensation. After the new goal-setting method had been in place for several years,
Brixton undertook a study to evaluate its effectiveness. This study revealed that, although the
approach had some strengths, there was also an opportunity to improve it. The company has
decided to implement some aspects of the control process to aid in the effectiveness of its goalsetting
method.
