Post a brief description of the child or adolescent stress or adjustment issue you selected
. A stress issue I choose is G.A.D General Anxiety Disorder in children. Children with G.A.D worry about the same things as their peers however it is a more extensive worry to where it makes them physically ill with headaches or stomach causing distress impairing their daily functions.
Then, explain the one-way culture, gender, or social factors might influence the manifestation of the stress or adjustment issue and how?
I choose this issue because I’m familiar with this situation my daughter has G.A.D she was brought into my life at a young age do to her birth mother abandoning her she culturally sufferers do to her ethnicity as well as her disorder living in a small town, there are not many diverse people here it affects the way the other kids see her at school when she is holding on to my leg crying and not wanting me to go because of her anxiety when other kids at her age are looking at her, like what is wrong with her it is very heartbreaking at times. Family members may have multiple cultural identities that shift over time. The fluidity of culture and acculturation processes needs to be acknowledged. Bicultural and hybrid identities are dynamic elements that shift during child development and across generations,( Measham, MDt Guzder, MD Rousseau, MDNadeau, MD Psychiatric Times, Psychiatric,2010)
explain which factor or manifestation of the adjustment issue may be the most difficult for you to address and why. Be specific and use examples.
The most difficult for me to address concerning my daughter is being able to get her to realize mommy is not going to abandon her because it is her fear which is a trigger to her anxiety it takes constant reassurance on my behalf to soothe her worries. In a session, I do not have experience but keeping my calm having compassion and empathy towards the child may help stress levels go down when interacting with a child who has anxiety.

Second Response
Post a brief description of the child or adolescent stress or adjustment issue you selected.
Dealing with and trying to manage stress can have an impact on adolescents behavioral and socio-emotional development (Cook et al., 2002). The adjustment issue I selected was the loss of a loved one. As an adult it is sometimes hard to deal with the death of a loved one. Imagine being a child or adolescent who does not understand death or have the skills needed to cope with the loss of a loved one.
Then, explain one way culture, gender, or social factors might influence the manifestation of the stress or adjustment issue and how.
Not getting children and adolescents the counseling they need after losing a loved one can influence the manifestation of the adjustment issue. In my city there has been an increase in gun violence in young adult males. Most of the time these victims of gun violence leave young children behind. This is an unexpected death that can lead to anxiety, PTSD and even sudden behavior changes in children who do not know any other ways to deal with their stressors.
Finally, explain which factor or manifestation of the adjustment issue may be the most difficult for you to address and why. Be specific and use examples.
The main factor that would be difficult for me to address is getting a child to face the reality of losing a loved one, especially if it is a sudden death and of a caregiver. For example, I could not imagine explaining to a hurt child that they will never see their dad again and the realities of death.
